The point of this website is not to take away from the men of late night, who are obviously hard working and talented. They earned their spot in the late night world fair and square, due to their comedic ability and on camera personalities. This is a website meant to educate those interested in the past, present, and future of late night talk shows. Hopefully, the future has both men and women being equally represented on programs after hours.
This site hopes to provide an insight on why women so often get turned over for late night gigs and instead provide examples of women in the media who could carry their own late night show. These women are well-established comedians who are familiar with comedy and the entertainment industry. These are some options of women who could find success in the late night world, and some who already have.
